: 3d Graffiti Technica :

Noise DAE' – In this piece I wanted to get away from the dark side that I have been so in love with lately and do something more optimistic. This work was based on a sketch that I had done ages ago and just decided to tinker with in 3d. I seem to be moving away from defined lettering now and am more interested in shape and form, almost to the point of creating a sculpture rather than a word or a letter. I am seeing a lot of artists heading in this direction with physical materials and their work is really something else.

The colors for this work were inspired by retro 80's colors (modified to be more futuristic though).

 

In this top view you can start to see the concept of shape and design rather than lettering - I've often had the idea that graffiti is nothing more than well crafted angles and design. For me, working in 3d, if a piece is designed well it shouldn't matter what angle you view it from.
