So obviously this design is getting into the built 3d style. Really excited about what will be possible with this style as it kind of lends itself well to the 3d process. It reminds me a lot of robotics and machinery (one of the reasons that I started this site). Again with this work I am not really interested in creating something that can be easily read, I am more interested in getting a shape and a style that works well.

In this graffiti design I was trying to work with a clean white plastic look - I usually texture all my work a flat grey when I am working with the actual design then add gloss and color later - this work didn't seem to need anything more added to it as the white was slick enough. It obviously reflects the white robotic/ipod look.

The other aspect to this style that I really like is that you can start to build the lettering out of 'parts' and objects rather than twisting the lettering to make the shape. This of course means that you can get weird abstract robotic machines happening.
