3d Graffiti - 'Glitch
It's interesting how certain styles of music seem to go with graffiti (in my mind at least). Drum n' bass seems to work perfectly, may be something to do with the rhythm and hard sounds but I have also found that glitch and experimental works well. The speed and the twists of the music seem to have something to do with the angles in the design and the sharper and harder the music the more angular the work becomes. This work followed on from 'master using the same style of lettering and also the same approach of twisting the lettering back on itself. This style seems to work well only from a few angles as the twists are so severe that at a certain angle it just becomes a object of lines.
The inspiration for the background came from a cracked LCD monitor that I saw online. The crack in the LCD panel produced these weird distortions that look really interesting. Also where there is a crack line you can see the tiny pixels emitting RGB colors. I wanted to use that RGB effect in the actual design so I added the two colored lines to break up the darkness.
